Ok, maybe my wildest fantasies - but c'mon, who hasn't ever wanted to be a tortured soul pouring their heart out onto paper like in the movies? You know you have.
Today is Day -47.
It's Day 1 of finals week at school, and as you can probably tell, I am not doing a good job of focusing.
But who can study when all the emotions of living in another country keep building day by day? I leave for Italy on January 24th, and that seems so close yet so far away. I am super excited to go because I've dreamed about this for years, but at the same time, I can't even picture what it will be like to be so far away for so long.
But let me backup and get the basics out.
My name is Daiva and I am studying in Florence, Italy this coming semester. I am a sophomore at Creighton University, and a recently declared Marketing major (do you even care? haha).
My friend Rachel [who is studying in Scotland at the same time] found the title of my blog for me.

Over the next couple of months I am going to try to write as much as I can about living la vita italiana, and hopefully you will be interested enough to keep reading for that long.
